Whistleblower Alleges Data Manipulation at World Economic Forum Amid Leadership Transition
Klaus Schwab, the founder of the World Economic Forum, resigned as chair over Easter weekend, just days before explosive whistleblower allegations prompted an emergency board investigation. An anonymous letter circulated Wednesday accuses Schwab of research manipulation, financial misconduct, and fostering a toxic workplace culture.
The 87-year-old executive, who had planned to step down by 2027, claims his accelerated departure resulted from what he calls a ’character assassination.’ The Wall Street Journal reports the whistleblower complaint reached the WEF board last week, alleging Schwab altered research data to gain governmental favor.
